Attivo Networks launches CIEM solution to strengthen its identity management offerings

Attivo Networks has launched a new Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) solution to market to strengthen its identity management offerings for security teams.

The IDEntitleX solution is designed to reduce the attack surface of rights and identities in the cloud, and it also extends the company’s broad portfolio of visibility and identity privilege offerings.

The company refers to Gartner research which predicts that by 2023, 75% of security failures will be caused by inadequate access, identity and privilege management.

Attivo Networks believes that traditional security tools are unlikely to meet these challenges, which will lead to over-provisioning of access and increased security risks.

In addition, the company states that organizations are migrating to the cloud, which brings many challenges when it comes to managing the identities and identities of machines such as applications, databases and data stores.

“As organizations continue to adopt cloud infrastructure at an ever-increasing rate and human and non-human identities grow to match, CISOs need to focus on identity-driven security solutions that can keep up. the pace of this growth, ”comments Attivo Networks vice president of research, Venu Vissamsetty.

“This CIEM solution gives security teams the flexibility and visibility they need for continuous monitoring of identities, entitlements, and correlation between standard cloud-based services.

Features include:

  • Wide range of cloud visibility: Understand exhibits with identity and rights summaries across all platforms.
  • Platform-specific cloud visibility: Monitor entitlements to key cloud services, such as AWS S3 and Azure Key Vault.
  • End-to-end visibility: View endpoint, Active Directory, and cloud exposures from a centralized management console.
  • Object-specific risk assessment: Isolate objects by risk and analyze the details of their rights.

Omdia Senior Analyst Rik Turner comments, “In today’s heady atmosphere of accelerated application delivery, security is too often an afterthought.

“The rapid adoption of cloud computing by enterprises has revealed a latent threat of ‘license spreading’, and this challenge is spawning an emerging technology segment that prioritizes visibility and shrinks floor space. attack on identities and rights in the cloud. With the introduction of IDEntitleX, Attivo Networks is well positioned to emerge as a major player in the CPM or ICES market.

Last year, Attivo Networks was named a Sample Supplier in the Gartner Hype Cycle for Security Operations, 2020. Recognized in the Deception Platforms category, Attivo Networks says it is continually expanding its portfolio of detection technologies to protect client companies.

Attivo Networks has also been recognized in the Gartner Solution Comparison for Six Deception Platforms, achieving numerous “high” rankings. The solution comparison is based on supplier briefings, demonstrations, customer interviews and survey data.
